Anthony is a full-stack developer focused on building web applications and systems. In 2024, he finally had the opportunity to dive into Rust and was instantly hooked — amazed by how powerful, fast, and safe it is. Since then, Rust has changed the way he thinks about programming, and he continues to learn and build with it as part of his ongoing growth as a developer.

Antoine started tinkering with Rust in 2016, as a way to escape the monotony of writing Java during the day, but quickly fell in love with its perfect balance of functional programming influences, strong type system, and performance. After cutting his teeth on a few random projects such as ray-tracers and emulators, he joined IDVerse in 2022 and has been happily writing Rust professionally ever since.

Li, who has a solid background of PHP, started learning Rust in 2023. As a beginner in Rust he wishes to learn and share more in this forum. He joined IDVerse at 2022.

Sid has been working with Rust since 2018, initially exploring it as a potential alternative to C++. Over the years, he has applied Rust across a wide range of domains, including kernel development, web applications, Android, and desktop software. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from the National Institute of Technology, where he also published his research in IEEE during his postgraduate studies. Sid is currently a Rust developer at IDVerse.

Ross worked almost exclusively with C++ for over a decade, and has the gunshot scars on his feet to prove it. In 2015, he would not have believed that a language could have the same power and performance as C++, but with perfect memory safety. He was delighted to be proven completely wrong when he discovered Rust.
Ross joined IDVerse in 2021, and now works almost exclusively with Rust. The foot scars are healing nicely.

Steve started learning Rust in 2019. Originally impressed by the performance, he quickly embraced the correctness and expressiveness aspects of the language. He created the thirtyfour browser automation crate, later joining IDVerse in 2021 and working with Rust full-time. When he’s not building out AWS-fuelled applications in Rust at work, he enjoys dabbling in web development with Dioxus and some game development with Bevy.

Tomas has an academic background in programming language implementation; he completed his PhD in Computer Science at The University of Hong Kong, and worked a research compiler for typed (System F-based) functional programming languages to Java. Since 2018, he has been working professionally with the Rust programming language. He’s a core maintainer of pest, a popular parser generator for Rust.

Zak, a British full-stack developer, is fueled by a passion for Rust, captivated by its unique blend of reliability and raw power that enables safe, high-performance solutions. With work spanning financial algorithms, end-to-end data analytics, cloud solutions and wasm-based web frontends, he thrives on tackling complex challenges that keep every day exciting. As a core maintainer of the Leptos full-stack web framework, Zak now channels his expertise into advancing the Rust ecosystem, delivering innovative tools and giving back to the community.
